Community Disaster Education - NNV: Team Member

Assist Red Cross in delivering mission by educating community members, organizations, and agencies to prevent and prepare for emergencies. Responsibilities include: Willingness to support the American Red Cross mission • Promote and conduct Disaster Education presentations in the community, involving public speaking, booth support, or a combination of the two • Continue training and education on a regular basis to keep presentation skills and knowledge base current • Attend relevant CDE meetings • Reporting and evaluating presentation

Disaster Recognition and Appreciation - Regional: Lead

The purpose of this position is to ensure every Red Cross worker is showing appreciation to and recognizing our volunteers for their participation and contributions. Developing and implementing celebrations of success with acts of appreciation through formal and informal methods. Responsibilities include: · Promoting disaster departmental participation in formal Red Cross recognition programs; · Developing and ensuring implementation of informal and formal Disaster Cycle Services volunteer appreciation events and programs; · Supporting supervisors by providing ideas, tips, and reminders for ways to informally and formally recognize volunteers in collaboration with Volunteer Services recognition and appreciation lead; · Promoting a culture that supports volunteer-ism by reinforcing the importance of daily volunteer appreciation; · Using numerous volunteers to accomplish assigned tasks; · Participating on the Disaster Workforce Engagement team; and · Representing Disaster Cycle Services on the Volunteer Services region recognition group.

Disaster Volunteer Connection/ Profile Management - Regional: Lead

The purpose of the Volunteer Connection lead position is to ensure the disaster workforce Volunteer Connection profiles are kept current, which results in timely assignments, promotions, deployments and opportunities. Responsibilities include: · Managing Disaster Cycle Services Volunteer Connection hours. · Providing, requesting, and advocating with Volunteer Services Volunteer Connection lead for appropriate and required access levels for Disaster Cycle Services workforce. · Educating the Disaster Cycle Services workforce on Volunteer Connection profile updates, submission of hours, GroupShare, Shift Tool, and location of Volunteer Connection resources on The Exchange and Zendesk. · Maintaining basic knowledge of the functionality of Volunteer Connection and how it can be used to support and improve the experience of the volunteer and the department. · Articulating the value of Volunteer Connection to the disaster workforce. · Advocating for the use of the Volunteer Connection system to the disaster workforce and manage appropriate GroupShares as determined by the disaster department. · Providing support to disaster volunteers with varying levels of technological capabilities to help them with maintaining updated information in the Member Profile section of Volunteer Connection, as well as logging hours. · Participating on the Disaster Workforce Engagement team. · Perform specific functions in Volunteer Connection as determined by the disaster department (potentially includes set up and managing shift tools and opportunities).
