Ways to help

Animal Therapy Volunteer

Animals provide a special kind of therapy that just can't be duplicated by humans. If you have a licensed therapy animal and are seeking an avenue to share that love with people in your community that would truly benefit from it, please consider volunteering for Kindred Hospice. Volunteer to help hospice patients and their families when they need that help the most. No matter what your talents or interests, you can make a difference in someone's life. When you volunteer with Kindred Hospice, you become part of a team of skilled, compassionate people who dedicate their time to a truly noble cause. Do you have a fury friend that isn’t licensed, but this sounds like something you and your animal would enjoy? We will be happy to connect you with local people so you and your pet can become official.

How you help You can make an incredible difference today. Volunteer to help patients and their families in your community when they need help the most. No matter what your talents or interests, you can make a difference in someone’s life. When you volunteer with us, you become part of a team of skilled, compassionate people who dedicate their time to a truly noble cause. Volunteers give their time in two ways: Patient Visit Volunteer- Visiting our patients to provide companionship and support through conversation, leisure activities or by being a supportive presence. You may also provide respite for caregivers so they can have some time away for themselves. Are you a licensed massage therapist? Do you have a licensed therapy animal? Are you a veteran? We would love to offer these specialty services to our patients. Administrative Volunteer- Providing office support though clerical duties such as data entry, filing or phone calling.
