How you helpVolunteers help LIT empower students. Our volunteers include: chaperones on college trips, leadership speakers, college mentors that guide students through the application process, and career mentors that help students reach their career goals.
About usFrom the community, for the community: we empower our students to become first-generation college graduates and diverse leaders that change the world. LIT serves about 300 students annually from high school freshman to college seniors. We also continue to provide support to our members post college graduation by connecting them with job opportunities, paid internships, and more. We have 100% four-year college acceptance rate, 100% college persistence rate, and 100% of students committing to use their education and success to empower oppressed communities.
