Volunteer with Lend A Hand of Boulder CityOur service depends on volunteers. Over 60 Boulder City residents serve as volunteers, but more are needed to meet the increasing needs of the aging population. If you like to drive, visit with people, do household tasks, or office work, consider volunteering with Lend A Hand; hours and duties are flexible. Volunteers meet new people, learn about history, and are uplifted by knowing they make a positive difference for someone else. Clients are comfortable with our volunteers who are caring neighbors and community members. Volunteers pass security checks and receive training prior to serving. Here are some of our volunteer opportunities: Driving Boulder City residents to appointments, Assisting with grocery shopping and other errands, Providing companionship, Helping at home with minor repairs, housekeeping, meals. Performing office work, data entry. Serving on Board of Trustees and Committees. |

| How you help | Over 60 volunteers provide transportation services, 30 provide in-home services, and 5 supplement our office staff. Lend A Hand of Boulder City provides transportation, in-home services, companionship, and equipment loan to seniors (60+) and disabled residents of Boulder City, and respite for their caregivers. Our goal is to improve the quality of life for our clients by showing them someone cares, relieving their stress about getting to appointments on time and stretching their budgets. We operate on a donation basis—clients are not charged fees for service. Lend A Hand is a Nevada non-profit corporation which was founded in 1989 and attained IRS 501(c)(3) status by 1994. |

| About us | Founded by caring local residents and organizations in 1989, Lend A Hand has continuously helped Boulder City senior and disabled residents remain independent in their homes with dignity and basic services. Each year our volunteers serve over 400 clients, most of whom are low income. We are donation based; clients may donate if they choose. In addition, the community generously supports Lend A Hand financially and through volunteer hours. |
