How you helpBuilding communities means creating resilience from the inside out. If you’re looking for an opportunity to give back and learn a lot in the process, then join us! We are always looking for volunteers for our programs and garden events.
About usFrom planting and harvesting to preparing what we grow, Urban Roots follows food from seed-to-table, empowering students of all ages to answer the question, “Where does our food come from?” Urban Roots is founded on the idea that food is a powerful tool for academic and sustainable agriculture instruction. Urban Roots is a part of a larger movement in northern Nevada to make the place we live abundant with healthy food, rich soil, and deep relationships with each other and the land.
