Nevada Volunteers Announces New Grant Program

“Governor’s Commission on Service solicits funding proposals to promote volunteerism”

RENO, NV. Nevada Volunteers would like to aid organizations in celebrating volunteerism and is actively accepting proposals from qualifying entities. Awards of up to $2,500 will be made to organizations that can demonstrate active, impactful volunteer engagement in their communities and articulate how celebrating volunteerism will enhance the volunteer experience and service culture.

How to apply:  Fill out this application describing your organization, its volunteer program, and its impact in your community; how the funds would be utilized to celebrate and recognize your volunteer(s) with a budget; and, a timeline in which the funds would be spent. When: Proposal are due no later than 5 pm on May 31, 2021 and awarded entities will be notified by June 21, 2021. The project period is from July 1 – August 31, 2021. ALL FUNDS MUST BE SPENT BY AUGUST 31, 2021.

Who can apply? The following Nevada-based, non-federal entities are eligible: public or private nonprofit organizations and community-based entities such as a volunteer coordinating agency, a nonprofit resource center, an institution of higher education, or a collaborative partnership of faith-based and community-based organizations.
